May’s best tracks include a handful of highlights from one of the most genuinely impressive Eurovision Song Contests in living memory (I could have included about 10 more). Outside the dazzling spectacle in Rotterdam, meanwhile, incredible songs were released from all over the world. Here is a small collection of the very best of them.
Any track that was released as a single or as part of an album, EP, or any other kind of musical project in May was eligible for inclusion for this month’s playlist (which is why you might see some tracks that first emerged in previous months or in 2020).
