It’s difficult to believe that we are already halfway through 2021, and June seemed to pull out all the stops to celebrate. Big names like Tyler, The Creator and Wolf Alice returned with monster efforts. Pop stars like Kali Uchis and Skott bucked conventional wisdom and released thoroughly enjoyable acoustic versions of their best tracks. CHVRCHES teamed up with rock legend Robert Smith (of The Cure), and MF DOOM delivered yet another brilliant guest verse despite the tragic fact that he is no longer with us. Here is a small collection of the very best tracks from this fantastic month.
Any track that was released as a single or as part of an album, EP, or any other kind of musical project in June was eligible for inclusion for this month’s playlist (which is why you might see some tracks that first emerged in previous months or in 2020).
